How long does delivery take within the EU?

We ship from The Netherlands across all of Europe. Delivery takes 1 to 4 working days, depending on your location: closer countries (NL/BE/DE/LU) arrive faster, further (Spain, Portugal, the Nordics) take longer. Free EU shipping over €59. You’ll get a tracking link as soon as your order leaves the workshop.

When does my order ship?

Add the production time (2 to 3 working days) plus shipping (1 to 4 working days). For Christmas we recommend ordering by mid-December at the latest.

How long does UV printing last? Will it fade or scratch off?

The photo stays sharp, vivid, and intact through years of everyday wear: walks, bath time, life inside a busy collar. UV printing bonds UV-cured ink to brushed aluminium under a clear protective layer, with a 1 mm unprinted border around the edge to prevent chipping from metal-on-metal contact. The ink is fade-resistant and sits beneath a sealed clear coat, so it doesn't lift or rub off. Like any everyday-carry object, the brushed aluminium underneath can pick up tiny marks over time from keys and buckles, but the image itself stays the image. We chose UV over engraving because it's the only way to put a full-colour photo and fine detail on a tag this small.

Is it waterproof?

Yes. Rain, bath time, and daily water bowls are fine. For companions who swim daily in salt water, we still recommend a rinse now and then.

What is the tag made of?

Brushed aluminium, 1.2 mm thick, with a stainless steel split ring. The print is sealed under a clear UV-cured protective layer.

What's the 'relief' or 'textured' option?

Our UV printer can lay ink in multiple layers on top of itself, building a tactile relief up to 5 mm tall. You can choose a flat standard finish or add height for a design you can feel as well as see.

Will the tag jingle?

A little, the way a collar tag usually does. If that bothers your companion, a rubber silencer ring (available separately) quiets it almost entirely.

Is it safe for small dogs and cats?

Yes. Our small round tag weighs about 3 grams, which is roughly a third of a one-euro coin. Even small cats carry it without complaint.

What photo should I upload?

A JPG or PNG, at least 1000 × 1000 pixels, well-lit, with your companion's face filling the frame. Phone photos usually work fine if they're sharp.

What if my photo isn't great?

Our configurator gives you live feedback. If the resolution is low, you'll see a gentle warning. Our AI removes the background for you automatically, and you can toggle it on or off. If anything looks off, write to info@furaoh.com and we'll help.

What file formats do you accept?

JPG, PNG, HEIC, and WebP. Up to 25 MB per photo.

Can I preview the tag before I order?

Yes. The 3D preview shows exactly what will print, in the real material and finish. What you see is what you get.

Can I put a phone number or address on the back?

Yes. The back side is made for contact details. Up to four lines, automatically sized to fit.

How much text fits on one tag?

Front: a name up to 20 characters. Back: up to four lines of 18 characters each. Less text means bigger, more readable type, so we'll auto-size for legibility.

Can I send a tag as a gift?

Yes. At checkout, enter the recipient's address and tick the 'this is a gift' box. We'll leave the price off the packing slip and include a short handwritten note if you add one.

Can I return a personalised tag?

Because every tag is made just for your companion, it is excluded from the EU 14-day cooling-off right under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU. This is standard for personalised goods across the EU. If anything arrives damaged, misprinted, or different from what you ordered, write to info@furaoh.com within 14 days of delivery. We'll reprint it free or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.

What if I made a typo?

Write to us the same day. If we haven't started printing, we'll fix it free. If we've already printed, we offer a 50% reprint on any customer typo.

What if the tag arrives damaged?

Send us a photo. We'll reprint it free. You don't need to send the damaged one back.

What's the difference between UV printing and engraving?

Accepted Answer

Engraving cuts into the metal and lasts essentially forever, but it's monochrome and line-based. No photos, no colour. UV printing bonds full-colour ink onto the surface under a sealed protective layer. You can print a photo, a colour illustration, anything. It's a print, made for everyday wear — not a permanent monument. We chose UV because a tag should feel like a small portrait, not a licence plate.

Which shape should I pick — bone, heart, or round?

All three are the same size and the same price. The bone (50 mm wide) is the most generous canvas for a portrait, the round (40 mm) is the most discreet on a collar, and the heart (38 mm) tends to read as a sentiment piece. Pick the one whose silhouette you'd rather look at every day.
